Russia-Ukraine War: Nataliya Kozhenova is worried about the safety of her family
Currently, all eyes are on the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a military operation in Ukraine, saying it was in response to the threats coming from Ukraine. Several photos and videos have been going viral on social media. Nataliya Kozhenova, who moved to India a couple of years ago to pursue a career in acting, is living in fear at the moment as the situation continues to deteriorate in Ukraine.
She is worried about the safety of her family. Speaking to TOI, she said, "My entire family - including my mother, step-father, two brothers and two nephews lives in Rivne City in Ukraine. The situation in my country is dire. The Russians have attacked us aggressively and invaded multiple crises."
The actress is praying for a miracle. She revealed, "I spoke with my mother a couple of hours ago, who told me that the Russian troops are closing in on their city as well and they are being asked to evacuate homes and rush to bomb-blast shelters. My family has locked itself inside the house as they fear getting killed. I have started facing network issues and I fear not being able to reach them, eventually."
